What is the use of Advair inhaler?

What are the dose and directions of this medication?
Powder form of the two active ingredients present in Advair inhaler commercially available in a special inhaler device pre-loaded with blister packs and that contains unit doses of this drug. The device opens and loads a blister each time you use the inhaler. Before using the spray, shake it first. The dose of the thus inhalational preparation should be taken according to the medical condition and other factors of the patient and appropriate strength of the drug may be prescribed by your doctor.
The usual adult dose of this medicine is 1 inhalation twice a day (morning and evening, about 12 hours apart). After each dose of this drug rinse your mouth with water and spit it out.
If you missed your dose then take this as soon as you just remind it or otherwise if it is the time of your next schedule dose then skip the existing dose and continue with your usual dose schedule.
Avoid the large amounts of this medication as presence of Corticosteroid in this drug may cause overdosing symptoms in your body.
How and where to store this medication?
Store Advair at room temperature and away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. The canister may explode if it gets too hot, hence take caution. Keep out reach of children.
Who should not take this drug?
Stay away from this medication if you are allergic to the corticosteroid, milk or any of the other ingredient present in it and
Do not use Advair to treat sudden or severe symptoms of asthma or COPD.
What are the drug-drug or food interactions of this inhalational spray?
Some drugs when combined with Advair, may alter its activity or could be life threatening, Hence, to get the better effect of this drug, either you should avoid this drug or consult with your doctor before taking it with drugs like Atazanavir, beta-blockers (such as Propranolol), certain antidepressants (such as Nortriptyline or Phenelzine), Ketoconazole, Nefazodone, Nelfinavir, Clarithromycin, Indinavir, Itraconazole and Ritonavir, With Salmeterol it may increase the risk of death.

For the safe use of this drug do not use it for the longer period, as recommended. Presence of active ingredient may affect the growth of children; consult your healthcare providers in that case. Wash your mouth after taking the drug. Do not give the drug to children. Maintain caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
